We are committed to helping business owners (and individuals) implement effective technologies that combat the airborne transmission of COVID-19 and other harmful viruses within air-conditioned spaces.

COVID-19 has undoubtedly changed the way we work, live, and play. From wearing masks to social distancing and nightly curfews – our lives have drastically changed. As business owners, what steps are we taking to proactively protect our employees and customers from this deadly virus; as an individual, what steps are we taking to help flatten the curve?

We are committed to helping business owners and (individuals) implement effective technologies that combat the airborne transmission of COVID-19 and other harmful viruses within air-conditioned spaces. These include Diluting the indoor air by installing fresh air systems that introduce outside air into the conditioned space, Exhausting lower quality air from the building, Containing the humidity levels through the building’s air conditioning system to achieve optimal thermal conditions, and effectively Cleaning viruses, diseases and pathogens from the air

DILUTING

This is an approach by which a mechanical system is used to introduce fresh air from the outdoors into a building. This could be programmed to initiate based on demand through the use of sensors that regulate the amount of fresh air required based on set parameters. Diluting with fresh air mitigates the invisible nature of poor indoor air quality within a building.

EXHAUSTING

Through the use of mechanical systems, polluted air can be exhausted from a building. Exhausting also contributes to maintaining stable building pressure depending on the application. For example – commercial buildings are typically to be designed to maintain positive pressure while hospital isolation rooms are to be designed to maintain negative pressure (this ensures that viruses and other harmful pathogens do not migrate from the infected space into healthy spaces.

CONTROLLING HUMIDITY

Humidity can be controlled through the building’s air conditioning system. Optimal humidity levels fuel a building’s sustainability – ASHRAE recommends that relative humidity be maintained between 40-60%. Solutions are available to track and measure relative humidity levels inside your building.

CLEANING

There are many options available in the market that use different categories of technology to rid the air of pollutants and provide total sterilization during unoccupied hours – UV Light Technology, Bipolar Ionization, Ozonation, installing HEPA filters to name a few. These four technologies listed are the most effective defence systems against harmful viruses and other pollutants living in the air we breathe.
